Wishing You Joy - StampTV Kit

Here are my first 2 attempts at simple holiday cards

My Gina K Designs Christmas Present to Myself...

I finally did it and decided to give myself a Christmas present this year! I'm so excited my Gina K Designs stamps and paper arrived just in time for the weekend - paper is awesome - the high quality is so obvious. And the stamps - WOW! What a difference a good stamp makes - not just the beautiful designs,it's the way they're made; they stamp so clear. Definitely worth every penny. Anyway - started to play around with some of them. First project was from the Nature's Greetings Stamp set. After watching the video I just had to try the Thanks So Much card with the embossing and bleaching techniques. I followed it step by step and if I do say so myself - I think this card came out amazing - pictures and even the videos don't do it justice until you see it in person - what do you think?

Birthday CardA

A simple card for Lorraine signed by all our coworkers

Fierce, Fabulous & 40 - Office Birthday Party Celebration for Lorraine

Fabulous Lorraine turned 40 - and I made a banner for our office party. I used Elegant Edges for the background, and Storybook for the lettering (& Cuttlebug embossing) - lots of flowers, brads and ribbon pulled this all together. Note to self: wanted to emboss the top layer on the background, but made it too wide for my Cuttlebug; next time I'll size it down some.

New Baby Shadow-box Gift

Finally got the pics I needed to complete a new-baby gift for a friend at work. this pic is actually the layout page that I've put into a shadowbox. I have to try and get a better pic of the shadowbox because there was too much glare from the glass - but it was a lot of fun making this. I used my elegant edges cartridge and fabulous finds to make the frames and background for the pics. a few little embellishments and for the truck and train pics I cut the images from a paperstack I got years ago at Michaels. Mounted all on pop dots for a 3-d effect.

Simple Birthday card...

A Happy Birthday to my cousin Pam, unfortunately she now has to share her birthday with that nightmare of 9/11, 10 years ago today

.

Thanks to Mary @ CardzTV

A long overdue note of thanks to Mary @ CardzTV...

I used the Cricut Lite Hoot n Holler Cartridge - first time using a lite cartridge, must admit, a little hard at first trying to figure out which button was the owl I wanted to use. But I like how it came out. baby steps, right?

Happy Birthday Mels

It was my sister-in-laws birthday so I created this card for her. Picked up the ribbons @ Michaels, paper by DCWV - Nana's Kids and used Cuttlebug Swiss Dots. Stamped the "Happy Birthday" sentiment inside (but forgot to take a picture of it)

Taking CardzTV card design one step further

Hey everyone, just like we did for Mother's Day, we honored all the Dad's at work by creating a bulletin board with their favorite pics.  I used the elegant simplicity of Mary's Mother's Day card design and adapted it for our project.  See how they came out. (BTW - some of the mom's liked the dad's cards better - oh well, what can I say - the more I craft, the better I"m getting l LOL!

Inspiration from Mary - @ CardzTV...

I found this incredible design from Mary while searching for some ideas to use with 2 new Cricut cartridges I got: Elegant Edges and Damask Decor - a friend's dad just passed away so I thought this would be perfect for a simple condolence card - thank you Mary! (PS I already had the Recollections paper from Michael's so naturally I just had to give it a try)  This is the 4th card I've made (just starting out) and I feel with each project I'm learning new techniques and getting better - enjoy!
